Transporting Harps

As with all large instruments, transporting a harp requires some special considerations. Lever harps, which are less than 5 feet tall, can fit in most mid-sized vehicles, especially in a car with folding rear seats.

Due to their larger size, pedal harps require a larger vehicle. Most professional pedal harpists drive a station wagon, mini-van, SUV, or other large vehicle. Harp carts, sometimes referred to as a caddy, are available for larger harps. These can considerably ease the process.
