Maryland State Arts Council Creativity Grant
I'm excited to announce that I am the recipient of a Maryland State Arts Council Creativity Grant! I proposed a project centering around videos, and as a result will be creating several new videos, including both performance and instructional videos. More information will be forthcoming. Summer 2022 Season Favorites Concert
Join me in the summer of 2022 for a livestream performance of Season Favorites. During this hour long performance, I will perform eight pieces, one from each of the eight livestream performances I gave during the 2021 - 2022 season. Throughout the performance I will share some remarks about the music and composers. The performances will livestream through my YouTube Channel free of charge, with contributions accepted, and will be available to view after the premiere.

Baltimore Harp Camp Returns
After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Baltimore Harp Camp is returning in the summer of 2022. Campers can attend this week-long day camp to improve on their existing harp skills. Each day will be spent in a variety of activities, including playing in an ensemble, as well as working music theory, performance skills, and harp history. The week will culminate in a recital featuring campers playing solo and ensemble music.

Recitals in May
I'm looking forward to giving three recitals in May, two in person and one livestream.

On Sunday, May 1 at 3pm (EDT), I'll give a live and in-person performance on the Community Concert Series at Emmanuel United Church of Christ (124 Broadway, Hannover, Pennsylvania). During this hour long recital, I will perform works by André Caplet, Lili Boulanger, and Grace Becker Vamos. Admission is free. More information is available here.

Then on Sunday, May 8 at 3pm (EDT), I'll perform live and in-person at An die Musik Live (409 N. Charles Street, Baltimore, Maryland), for a Mother's Day performance. Throughout the hour long recital, I'll offer some thoughts on the music and perform music by Gabriel Pierné, André Jolivet, and Lili Boulanger. More information and tickets are available here.

Finally on Friday, May 20 at noon (EDT), I'll give my final livestream recital of the spring. In a recital entitled A Harp Sketchbook, I'll perform works by three composers. I'll perform four pieces by composers associated with the conservatoire, including my own recent transcription of an unusual work by Lili Boulanger. During this forty-five minute performance, I'll perform works by Gabriel Pierné, Marcel Samuel-Rosseau, and Lili Boulanger. The performance is free, with donations accepted.

Finally, on Friday, April 22 at 12:00pm (EDT), I'll perform live and in-person for The Friday Noon Concert Series at the Arts Club of Washington (2022 I Street NW) in Washington D. C. During this thirty-minute performance, I'll perform works by Grace Becker Vamos, André Jolivet, and Gabriel Pierné. This performance is free and open to the public.

Presentation at the American String Teacher Association Conference
In March, I gave a presentation entitled Building Technical Harp Skills Through Warm-up Exercises for the American String Teacher Association Conference. I really enjoyed sharing my thoughts about working with students on their technical skills and hope to explore this topic more thoroughly in the future.

Recent Performances
In February, I had the pleasure of performing live and in-person for several performances. With the Maryland Lyric Opera, I performed Giacomo Puccini's Turandot. It was an excellent cast, orchestra, and chorus. I was thrilled to be involved with such a large group of musicians again. I also performed Claude Debussy's La Mer and Gustav Holst's The Planets with the National Philharmonic, two great works!

Spring 2022 Season Announcement
Join me in the spring of 2022 for an exciting season of performances and student workshops. At the heart of the spring season are my short, thematic online concerts of solo harp music on the third Friday of every month at noon (Eastern Time). Throughout each thirty minute performance, I will offer remarks about the theme and composers presented. All performances will livestream through my YouTube Channel free of charge, with contributions accepted.

Candlelight Concert, Sunday, December 12 at 4pm
First and Franklin Church, 210 W. Madison Street
For this beautiful holiday concert, I'll be performing music for solo harp and harp and choir, including works by Benjamin Britten, Camille Saint-Saëns, and Henri Büsser. A free will offering will be taken.

Russian Music on the Harp, Friday, December 17 at noon (EST)
Livestream Performance
I'm looking forward to this month's online performance, an exciting program of Russian Music, including Aram Khachaturian's dramatic Oriental Dance and Toccata and a transcription of Pytor Tchaikovsky's classic Waltz of the Flowers, along with works by Reinhold Glière and Mikhail Ippolitov-Ivanov.

Workshop: Special Effects and Extended Techniques, Saturday, December 18 at noon (EST)
Online Workshop
In this online workshop, I'll be delving into non-traditional ways of playing the harp, including techniques like
xylophonic sounds, tuning key slides, and thunder glissandos. I will demonstrate and explain all of these techniques
while participants play along on their harps. The workshop will take place via Zoom and is open to students
at any level playing either a lever or a pedal harp. Advance registration is required.

Marcel Tournier was a French harpist and composer who wrote for the harp in a mesmerizing and impressionistic style.
