Workshop Registration: Fall 2021

Join Jacqueline on the third Saturday of every month at noon (Eastern Time), for a series of online student workshops. These events will take place through Zoom and are open to students playing at any level, on either a lever or a pedal harp. For each 90 minute class, Jacqueline will be set up with her harp in her studio, and students will set up at their harps at home to play along throughout the workshop. The camera will remain primarily focused on Jacqueline, with a few breaks throughout each workshop for questions from participants.

Advance registration is required for each workshop. All workshops will be recorded and registrants who are unable to attend on the scheduled day and time will have the option of watching the workshop later. Scroll down for detailed information, fees, and registration forms.

Presentation:

Grandjany's Music as Learning Repertoire

Jacqueline gives an online presentation via Zoom for students and teachers about the music of Marcel Grandjany in learning the harp. While Grandjany (1891-1975) was himself a virtuoso harpist, he devoted much of his time to teaching and composing music at a variety of levels for students.

Throughout this 90 minute class, Jacqueline will present many works by Grandjany, starting with his beginning pieces and moving through music of increasing complexity. In addition to demonstrating passages of each piece, Jacqueline will discuss the skills and techniques each work covers and common challenges encountered in learning it. Attendees do not need a harp for this class, as there will be no student playing.
