Bach in the Subways Performance

First started in 2010 to commemorate J. S. Bach's Birthday, musician Dale Henderson gave a free performance of Bach in the subways of New York City. Each year more and more musicians have joined, performing Bach in a variety of public venues around the world. This year thousands of musicians in over 150 cities will be participating in the celebration.
Jacqueline and Gretchen Gettes, cello, will perform at the library in Baltimore as part of this celebration. Selections will include Cello Suite no. 1, BWV 1007; Lute Suite no. 1, BWV 996; Andante from Violin Sonata no. 2; and Largo from Violin Sonata no. 3.

Baltimore Harp Camp

The Baltimore Harp Camp is an annual summer day camp for harp students of varying ages and abilities. This week-long intensive camp is an opportunity for harp students to improve upon their existing musical skills, through ensemble playing, music theory, ear-training, music history, and presentations by guest musicians. The week culminates in a performance by all of the students.
