Aria in Classic Style by Marcel Grandjany
Jason Kissel, organ. Jacqueline Pollauf, harp. First and Franklin Church, Baltimore, Maryland.
Aria in Classic Style for harp and organ was written by French harpist Marcel Grandjany (1891-1975). Although the harp was Grandjany's primary instrument, he also played organ, giving him an excellent vantage point in his composition of this work. He later made an arrangement for harp and strings as well.
Jacqueline Pollauf is a professional harpist based in Baltimore, Maryland. She regularly publishes videos in a variety of categories: solo works, instructional videos, harp repair and maintenance, and inspirational videos for young harpists.
